Throughout Philip's career but especially in Seattle Sounders he not only worked on his physical capabilities and his technical abilities on the field, but he has also worked hard on the mental side of being a professional soccer player. The mental aspect of a professional soccer life weighs just as much as the potential on the field. Philip is a firm believer that mental capacities will get you to the last step up the ladder. Therefore he will be working mentally with the players and take all the know-how from his coaches and mental coaches and apply this to his training of the youth. This will give the players an advantage in situations of pressure and will benefit young players in situations when they feel like they did not deliver the end product as well as expected. Philip also likes to put a lot of thought into strengthening the muscles around the core during practices to keep players away from injury.
Throughout his entire career, Philip has been trained by professionals and believes that the key to a better performance lies in the individual training and how it can be applied to a game situation. At every training, he will look at players' capabilities and potential and let them know what to work on to be professional soccer players.
Playing Experience: At the age of 19, this Denmark native signed his first professional contract with his home country. After playing at the highest level in Denmark he came to the United States and signed with the Seattle Sounders MLS team and then with the Oklahoma Energy FC. Philip has been around the world and played in Malaysia, Norway and the Faroe Islands but is currently back in the United States playing for the Tacoma Stars Indoor team where he was just named to the MASL All-Rookie team. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_LundBack to top
