President’s Report – Stephanie Knapp - present

Ø       Working on NSF checks

               

Vice – Present’s Report – Mary Ward – not present

Ø       Resigned per Stephanie Knapp

 

Secretary Report – Yvette Gregg – not present

Ø       No report

 

Treasury Report – Kathy Barnes – present

Ø       Current Balance = $91,429.19

Ø       Tracy Whitney = $5,000 - $10,000.  Sharon Woodford will provide a complete financial report at the next Club meeting – November 12, 2007.

Ø       Paid storage fees for 1 year and received one month free

Ø       Resigning in November – open position

 

Boy’s Registrar Report – Novella Fraser – present

Ø       All teams have been entered into Bonzi for Fall Soccer

Ø       All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers must register on Bonzi

Ø       Team packets need to be completed when turning into coordinators and registrars.

 

Girl’s Registrar Report – Open position

Ø       Same report as Boy’s Registrar

 

2nd V.P. of Administration Report – Cory Zimmer – present

Ø       Coaches running scores up

Ø       Aggressive behavior – BU9 Players

Ø       Will send a letter to the BU9 coaches about aggressive behavior

Ø       Coaches and players clinic was a success.

Ø       Coaches need to turn in paperwork by due dates

Ø       January – meeting/training with coaches

Ø       Rob Walker wants to get more involved with clinics

 

Referee Coordinator – Judy Simone-Johnson – present

Ø       Not enough referees for each game - coaches need to come prepared to referee the games.

Ø       All Tracy Whitney games covered and thank you Perry Woodford

Ø       Judy resigning as of November 10, 2007.

 

Field’s Coordinator – Eric Poortvliet – present

Ø       New locks for Camelot because the lock and cable was stolen

Ø       Will order paint

Ø       Will order nets for U10 goals this year

Ø       Will order nets for U9 goals next year

 

Equipment Coordinator – Girls – Bob Gonzalez – not present

 

Match & Event Coordinator – Kristina Okezie – not present

Ø       Kristina resigned

Ø       Sharon Woodford appointed as Match & Event Coordinator by Stephanie Knapp

Ø       Sharon still talking with city about lighted fields.  When baseball is complete may be able

to use lighted fields (Saghalie & Sacajawea)  if still useable.  Lighted fields will be assigned by the following hierarchy: Mod Board volunteers, U10, U9, U8, U7, and then U6 if space available.

 

Webmaster Report – Sharon Woodford - present

Ø       Will pick up electronic disc of Fall team pictures from Legend’s Photography and update the Mod Team pages on the website this month.

 

Old Business

Ø       Tracy Whitney Jamboree - was very successful.  A big thank you to Cindy Flanagan & Eric Poortvliet for helping with the fields and equipment.

 

New Business

Ø       Stephanie Knapp resigned

Ø       Heather Hamashima voted in as President

Ø       Cory Zimmer voted in as Vice President

Ø       Stephanie Knapp voted in as Girl’s Registrar

Ø       2008 calendar was proposed.  Will be discussed and voted on at the next meeting.

Ø       Policy 14 – Coaching License Reimbursement - approved as written

Ø       Policy 15 – Referee License Reimbursement - approved as amended ***Federal Way Mod Soccer Club will cover instruction fee and test fee for all players, parents, and coaches of the FWMSC teams. 

Ø       Retroactive reimbursements will be provided to coaches that attended the E-clinic held in Federal Way in July.

Ø       Derek Marino and Caleb Allen presented “Soccer Play Day”, all BU8 & BU9 players are invited to Mark Twain on October 14 & October 21 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM to play short sided games (3 on 3) in an unstructured, un-coached, playful environment.  They will provide a minimum of supervision.  Federal Way Mod Soccer insurance will cover it. Someone needs to remain at the field to be responsible for the player.
