BOARD MEETING MINUTES

September 11, 2006

 

The meeting of the Federal Way Modified Soccer Club was called to order by Vice President Mary Ward at 7:37 on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Round Table Pizza in Federal Way.

A Quorum was achieved.  ( A Quorum of the club shall consist of 6 (six) board members with at least 3 (three) of them being elected officers.)

TREASURER – Kathy Barnes

  • No money turned in from BU9 yet.
  • Current balance $80,893.56. 

 

 

BOYS REGISTRAR – Cheryl Guthrie

  • Still waiting on complete paperwork from several individual player registrations.  One whole team has not turned in any paperwork.  This is REQUIRED or they won’t play this week.  Must be registered to be insured!

 

 

 

GIRLS REGISTRAR- Tricia Arroyo (not present)

  • Nothing to report

 

 

2nd VICE PRESIDENT OF ADMINISTRATION – Ken Landreth not present

  • Nothing to report

REFEREE COORDINATOR – Judy Simone Johnson

  • 3 referee evaluations were received this weekend. This is our tool to improve referee. Please do not address concerns to the referee at the game or during the match!  Use the evaluation process.  This is taken seriously and there is follow up with the young referees!
  • Referee clinic is Sept 18 to 20 and 25 to 27 at Saghalie library.  Coaches get reimbursed ˝ of the fee to a max of $50.00 for taking the course and passing.

 

FIELDS COORDINATOR- Jarrod Golden

  • Jarrod is resigning from this position. 
  • Did get the goals moved and fields lined in the nick of time for the start of the fall season.
  • Needs another gift card for Home depot truck rental for goal hauling. 
  • Reimburse for $10.00 expense out of pocket incurred this past week.

 

 

EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR –  Stephanie Knapp and Bob Gonzalez

  • Many U10 teams from last year did not return equipment, particular shortfall in the size four soccer balls.  All U10 teams must turn equipment back in the FWMSC as they cannot use the mod equipment at U11 in Federal Way United.

MATCH AND EVENT COORDINATOR:  Kristina Okezie

  • Schedules for U7 to U10 are all done!
  • Needs info from U6 coordinators to get U6 schedules finished.
  • Sharon Woodford will be scheduling the Tracy Whitney Jamboree games.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Fundraiser:  Kimberly Miller is our fundraiser coordinator.  Look for an e-mail soon for the schedule for candy pick up and money return!
  • TRACY WHITNEY UPDATE:  concessions are arranged with contracted provider, T-shirt sales decision was made to provide team names only for age

            g roups with no individual player names in the list.  Kids can get name added.                      

 

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Mike and Pat Bulzomi approved for reimbursement for $150.00 of Apple Cup fee.
  • Reign ’93 approved to sell sport drink “gleukos” at tracy Whitney as a fundraiser if the contracted concessioner is okay with that.
