BOARD MEETING MINUTES

October 9, 2006

 

The meeting of the Federal Way Modified Soccer Club was called to order by Vice President Mary Ward at 7:37 on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Round Table Pizza in Federal Way.

 

The Attendees included:

A Quorum was achieved.  ( A Quorum of the club shall consist of 6 (six) board members with at least 3 (three) of them being elected officers.)

  • Still waiting on additional money turn in from Girls registrar and Tracy Whitney a and fundraiser.
  • Current balance $95,417.02. 

 

 

BOYS REGISTRAR – Cheryl Guthrie

  • Three children were registered with paper only…need to be input into the system.
  • All done with registration, no numbers yet, will have that to report next meeting.

 

 

 

GIRLS REGISTRAR- Tricia Arroyo (not present)

  • Nothing to report

 

2nd VICE PRESIDENT OF ADMINISTRATION – Ken Landreth not present

  • Nothing to report

REFEREE COORDINATOR – Judy Simone Johnson

  • Please give referees time to make the call!
  • Send in evaluations after the game for positives and concerns…this is the tool to improve our system!
  • Talked about the “yellow card” handed out prior to games in the NCYSA that reminds players and parents of the correct “play fair” attitude.  Something for us to consider.

 

FIELDS COORDINATOR- OPEN POSITION

  • Neil Goldingay has resigned as fields coordinator as well.
  • Sharon Woodford ordered 50 cases of field lining paint.
  • Many volunteers worked with Sharon to organize a successful field lining and set up for the Tracy Whitney jamboree!

OLD BUSINESS:

TRACY WHITNEY UPDATE:  Tracy Whitney was a success!   Thank you to Sharon Woodford and her volunteers including: Tom Shires and several parents from his GU9 Thunderbolts team, Dave Wells, The Flanagons, Trcia Arroyo, George Pfeifer, and many others!

 

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Stephanie Knapp has volunteered to be the Mod club president.  She was approved unanimously!
  • Yvette Gregg volunteered to be the Mod club Secretary.  She was approved unanimously!
