Meeting Minutes

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.  

The minutes were approved as written for the November meeting. 

 

PRESIDENT’S REPORT- Perry did some by-law proposals for Mod – United and the Association.  They were looked at but no votes or changes made.  Talked about organization of treasurer and registrars and changes in rules /application of labor laws.  Many clubs are looking into the treasurer duties surrounding taxes, payrolls, and budgeting.

 

VICE-PRESIDENT’S of Admin REPORT- No Report.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT- Financial Statement was passed out.

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT- No Report.

 

REGISTAR’S REPORT- Challenge and Commissioner’s cup draw is December 11th.  Championship Draw is December 22nd.  Diane is starting to think about Spring League and how and when to set it up. 

 

RISK MANAGEMENT- Things went well this season.

 

2nd VP of Development – Not Present.

 

FIELD’S REPORT – Damage was done at Karl Grosch. 

 

FW MOD- No Meeting in December. 

 

FW UNITED- Drafted some by-law proposals.  Attempting to define Director of Coaching and how United and Mod will work together with Rob.  Vandals at Karl Grosch stole copper wire for lights – caused lots of problems.  Lots of discussion on the payment to the state and collection from the clubs on WSYSA registration fees and Bonsi player fees.  We are down to around 1760 players and had to pay bonsi for approx. 300 players that registered and were not placed on teams.

 

DISTRICT 3 REPORT – First President’s Forum was held in November.  8 of 9 President’s were there and another one will be held in May.  Open Board positions at Dist. 3.  Reps at the last meeting talked about travel to teams outside of District 3, variations in field sizes for U11 and talked about referees and the labor law.  Kent, Auburn and GRJSA brought up the idea of a Spring League for nonselect teams.

 

WEBMASTER-  Eben Designs finished their website construction and Sharon has the CD to load onto her computer.  Had to buy some more ram for computer but once that arrives she can load it and input all the data into the new website.  Sharon is looking for a class to take on the Dream Weaver software.  The board approved paying Sharon for the extra memory she had to purchase to run this program.  

 

2nd VP of Administration – No Report.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS –  The Challenge Cup and Commissioners cup draw is Dec. 11th and the Championship Cup draw is Dec. 22nd.  Sharon will be attending both. 

 

Referee Report – No Report.

 

OLD  BUSINESS- None.

 

NEW BUSINESS – Passed out and discussed proposed bylaw changes.

 

GOOD OF THE GAME-  BU14 Ravens won the President’s Cup and the GU12 Beez placed 2nd in the President’s Cup at the State.
