Officer’s Reports (Year end reports)

     President’s Report – Perry Woodford, 253-941-0638; e-mail: pwoodford@jps.net

After 1 year as your president I thought I would step back and slow down a little.  Reality is that nothing slowed down and this year is particularly strong in the changes that have been started.  Unfortunately I feel my duties to the Blast Off and the Association has been short changed while I supported work at United.

·    Association Budget: Carl and I have had a few discussions on our budget and the difficulties of working with the state and BONZI billing information.  We receive statements and cannot tell if the player is from United, Mod, Spring league, or fall league.  This is causing us consternation in completing a budget for 2006-2007.  However, there is no anticipation of a fee increase.

·    Analysis of player counts.  FWSA down 15% in two years. Mod down 21% in one.  Select level consistent across the three years.  Player counts are dropping and I hope to find more time next year to work on the issues and see if we can develop a plan to turn the reduction in players around.

·    TEKK goals.  I thought this would be an easy thing to deal with.  We received our first 6 sets of goals the first week of March.  We had hoped to have these last August.  There were many issues and the company kept me informed on the status.  I am working on the 2006 delivery and will work with Mod to see how many of the larger 6 x 12 goals we wish to buy.  There will be a fee to switch from 5 x 8 to 6 x 12 goals.

Bonzi made my job very difficult.

     Registrar ReportDiane Jaber, 253-874-5469, e-mail: jfajr5@comcast.net

·   This past year was really tough all year long.  Much was learned through mistakes.  This next year we need to clean up the data.  Hopefully next year will be bright and wonderful.

·   Risk Management: Bonzi will only allow the Registrars to look up people’s data if they know the person’s RMA number.  WSYSA is looking at going back to the old system.

·   New This year:

o        Association Registrar can print player cards.

o        I will give all the Treasurers read access to Bonzi so they can run reports.

o        I want to attend most of the Mod and FWU meetings.

·   Future: All players, including Recreational, will have player cards.

     2nd VP of Administration Report – Perry Woodford, 253-941-0638; e-mail: pwoodford@jps.net

·     I have missed the opportunity to review and update our by-laws.  There are some house keeping issues that need to be taken care of and that has not happened this year.

·    There have been 3 coaches suspended for 3-5 games.
